Works have commenced on the much-anticipated next and final stage of a major precinct upgrade for Millaa Millaa Falls.
The popular swimming spot and tourist destination will receive a significant transformation over coming months, including the relocation and installation of a brand-new amenities block, a new roadway providing better vehicle access and safer pedestrian zones, and an impressive new main plaza with viewing platforms and informational signage.
Overall accessibility, facilities and visitor experience at Millaa Millaa Falls will be greatly enhanced.

Important Project Update – Monday 13 July, 2026
Please note access to the lower car park at Millaa Milla Falls remains closed for the ongoing construction works.
The existing amenities block has now been decommissioned and is not available for public use. Public toilets are available in the main Millaa Millaa township, opposite the Millaa Millaa Hotel.
Parking for caravans, trailers and oversized vehicles is not available at this time due to limited turning space.
Initial construction works have commenced for the main stage of the Millaa Millaa precinct upgrade in July 2026, focusing on the upper and lower parking areas and decommission of the existing amenities block. The new amenities block is expected to be built and operational by the end of this year.
The full project is expected to be completed by June 2027.
Given the scale of the project, there will be some necessary impacts for our community throughout the construction period, and some periodical disruptions to parking and access to the site. This may particularly create limitations for those with mobility impairment, however when completed, the precinct will provide significantly increased accessibility for everyone.
