Robotics and Coding
Join us for holiday robotics fun! Code a rover, tackle mazes, try robot sumo, and enjoy creative STEM challenges.
This free workshop introduces participants to the Micromelon Rover—a fun robot that brings coding to life. Students will experiment, test ideas, solve problems, and collaborate, all while programming their Rover to complete a series of playful challenges. It’s an energetic and interactive way for learners to build confidence with technology and have a blast!
Recommended for: Ages 9 to 15

Drones and Programming
A fun, supportive intro to drones and coding, helping young people build confidence, problem-solving skills, and real-world knowledge.
This free workshop gives students the opportunity to step straight into drone technology—flying, coding, testing ideas, and seeing immediate results through play, problem solving, and creativity.
Recommended for: Ages 9 to 15

‘Country’ Art Case
Storytime
Tableland Regional Gallery and Tablelands Libraries present the Copper Art Case touring program from the National Gallery of Australia.
Tableland Regional Gallery and Tablelands Libraries present a series of events for adults, young people and children to experience works by First Nations artists that they can see and touch.
Join us for a ‘Country’ themed Storytime and we will look at and carefully touch the works in the ‘Country’ Art Case, including by Penny Evans (K/Gamilaroi), Carol McGregor (Wathaurung), Jimmy John Thaiday (Erub Mer), Aubrey Tigan (Bardi/Djawi), James Tylor (Kaurna) and Lena Yarinkura (Rembarrnga/Kune).

3D Printing
Unlock the world of 3D printing! This introductory workshop is perfect for beginners eager to explore how 3D printing can bring ideas to life.
Participants will learn the basics of 3D printing technology, design simple 3D models using free, beginner-friendly software, and create their first 3D-printed object. By the end of the session, attendees will understand 3D printing processes and gain hands-on experience to kickstart their journey in this exciting technology.

Local & Family History
Tablelands Libraries is here to help if you’re researching family or local history! On the first Thursday of each month, Atherton Library hosts a local & family history group meeting. To book your spot call 4089 2247.
Tablelands Libraries also provides free access to Ancestry and Findmypast at all branches.
