TRC Arts, Culture & Heritage Grants

Arts, Culture and Heritage Grants (Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)) support quality arts and cultural experiences and build local cultural capacity. Quick response grants are assessed at any time, and major grants are assessed in March and October.

Major Round Deadlines

  • Applications for projects starting after Thursday 1 January 2026 will be accepted until Monday 10 November 2025

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a Queensland Government and Tablelands Regional Council partnership to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

Priorities for 2025–26 Projects

  • Youth arts.
  • Community mental health and wellbeing through arts practice.
  • Professional development for artists, arts workers, and community groups.

We encourage applicants to contact our Arts Officer on 4089 2523 or artsofficer@trc.qld.gov.au to discuss their project and eligibility prior to submitting an application.

Eligibility

Activities

  • Professional skills development.
  • Cultural tourism development including public art.
  • Arts, cultural and heritage projects and events.
  • Preservation of significant heritage items including stories, sites and collections.
  • Specialist expertise to train, support, develop and/or produce arts and culture outcomes.
  • Workshops.
  • Engagement of youth, Indigenous or culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Creative development of new work.

You can apply if you:

  • are a professional or emerging artist, arts/cultural worker or project coordinator
  • live in the TRC Region or your project directly benefits TRC arts and culture
  • are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • have an ABN or an auspice arrangement.

You cannot apply if your application:

  • seeks 100% funding — you must contribute at least 35%
  • is for an amateur activity (without professional involvement)
  • is for catering, launches or parties
  • happens on TRC property without written approval from TRC
  • is an in-school activity, competition or eisteddfod
  • buys capital items, unless essential and shared with the community
  • covers printing/publishing, framing of artworks, or travel within 300km of the TRC Region
  • is for accredited study or university courses.
