The TRC Youth Excellence Grant Program for 2025–26 has been fully expended. The 2026–27 grant program will open in July.
Youth Excellence Grants support youth when representing the TRC Region in sporting, recreational, academic, arts and culture, or community leadership and/or ambassadorship activities. Up to $250 to support events held regionally (north of and including Townsville), $350 to support events held in Queensland (south of Townsville) and $500 for events held outside Queensland including internationally.
Grants provide:
- Up to $250 to support events held regionally (north of and including Townsville).
- Up to $350 to support events held in Queensland (south of Townsville).
- Up to $500 for events held outside Queensland including internationally.
Conditions
- Funding is capped at $850/eligible youth/financial year.
- Applicants must be selected by a recognised peak body through a competitive merit-based process.
- Retrospective funding is not available.
