Arts, Culture and Heritage Grants support quality arts, culture and heritage projects and build local capacity through skills development. They are made possible by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) — a Queensland Government and Tablelands Regional Council partnership to support arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Applicants are required to contact our Arts Officer on 40892426 or artsofficer@trc.qld.gov.au to discuss their project and eligibility prior to submitting an application.
Quick Response Grants
Up to $1,000 for up to 65% of project costs for professional development, or small-scale community arts, culture or heritage projects. Open anytime, until funds are exhausted.
Major Grants – now closed
Provides up to $6,000 for up to 65% of costs for:
- Creative development of new work
- Arts and cultural community projects and events
- Specialist expertise to train, develop and/or produce arts and culture outcomes
- Cultural tourism development including public art
- Preservation of heritage including stories, sites, language or collections
Applications open 1 September 2026 until 30 October 2026. The second round opens 1 March 2027.
Eligibility
See the TRC Grant Program Policy and Guidelines for information on eligible expenditure for each grant. Generally, you may apply if you are:
- are a professional or emerging artist, arts/cultural worker or project coordinator
- live in the TRC region or your project directly benefits TRC arts and culture
- are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- have an ABN or an auspice arrangement.
You cannot apply if your application:
- seeks 100% funding — you must contribute at least 35%
- is for an amateur activity (without professional involvement)
- happens on TRC property without written approval from TRC
- is an in-school activity, competition or eisteddfod
- buys capital items, unless essential and shared with the community
- is for printing/publishing, framing of artworks, workshop materials or catering
- for travel within 300km of the TRC Region
- is for accredited study or university courses
- is for retrospective expenditure.
