Applications for Tablelands Galleries 2027 Exhibitors closing soon!

Each year Tablelands Regional Council (TRC) hosts an incredible program of exhibitions across the Tablelands art galleries and seeks applications from artists and curators to present their work.

Applications are closing soon for the 2027 Tablelands Galleries program of exhibitions. The deadline for applications is 5pm Monday 11 May 2026.

There are three gallery spaces available to hold exhibitions: the Tableland Regional Gallery, the Old Post Office Gallery and the Foyer Gallery. Applications are encouraged from artists and curators at all stages of their practice and from across our diverse Tablelands community, including First Nations people, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people, youth, seniors, people with disability, and community groups and organisations.

Far North Queensland based artist Rose Watts, whose exhibition ‘Silent Conversations’ was displayed at Tableland Regional Gallery in 2025, said, “Exhibiting at Tableland Regional Gallery was very positive, and I wouldn’t hesitate about applying for another exhibition with TRC. The feedback I received helped me to refine my ideas and has encouraged me to continue developing this body of work with greater confidence and clarity”.

Ms Watts added, “The Galleries Officer was very supportive and responsive throughout the lead up to and during the exhibition, opening and artist talk. I felt supported throughout the process of exhibiting at Tableland Regional Gallery”.

Rose was fortunate to receive a Regional Arts Development Fund through TRC and Queensland Government, which allowed her to undertake professional development mentoring, supporting the conceptual and technical development of the work she exhibited.
