Hit FM 97.9 official media partner for Priors Creek Parklands launch

Tablelands Regional Council has partnered with Hit FM 97.9 as the official media partner for the launch of Priors Creek Parklands, helping build regional awareness and anticipation ahead of the opening weekend on 10 and 11 July.

The partnership will support the rollout of promotion across the lead-up to opening weekend and help position Priors Creek Parklands as a major new community space and regional destination for the Tablelands.

Acting Mayor Dave Bilney said the partnership reflected both the significance of the project and the scale of the opportunity ahead.

“Priors Creek Parklands is not simply a local park opening. It is the launch of a major new community space and a significant milestone for Atherton and the wider Tablelands,” Acting Mayor Bilney said.

“We are pleased to have Hit FM 97.9 on board as official media partner to help us share that story, build excitement across the region, and encourage locals and visitors alike to be part of what is shaping up as a bumper weekend for the Tablelands.

“This is about more than one event. It is about helping launch Priors Creek Parklands in a way that reflects its long-term role as a place for recreation, connection and community life.”

The Priors Creek Parklands opening weekend will mark the official launch of Atherton’s largest-ever precinct revitalisation and a major new public destination for the region. The two-day celebration will feature live music, food, family activities and community activations designed to bring the precinct to life from day one.

Hit FM 97.9 said it was proud to be part of the milestone.

The partnership will include on-air promotion, interviews, giveaways, digital promotion, and an on-site presence during opening weekend, with Lee Cohen to MC the opening day.
