Free Volunteer First Aid Training
Tablelands Regional Council is offering free accredited First Aid and CPR training to volunteers from not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations across the region.
“Volunteers play a vital role in our sport and recreation sector, and having first aid skills helps build confidence in managing incidents when they arise,” said Mayor Rod Marti. “This initiative supports safer participation in community sport and recreation while strengthening volunteer capability.”
“This training provides practical, hands-on skills that support safer environments for participants, volunteers and clubs. It’s about strengthening the capability of our volunteers and supporting the continued success of local sport and recreation across the Tablelands,” said Mayor Marti.
The program is designed to enhance safety standards across local organisations while supporting broader community wellbeing outcomes. Training will be delivered face-to-face by qualified and accredited First Aid trainers, with participants receiving nationally recognised certification, including First Aid and CPR.
Sessions will be held at the Coordination Centre, 15 Vernon Street, Atherton on the following dates:
9am-12pm Friday 17 April — CPR Refresher
9am-4pm Saturday 18 April — Full First Aid
