Free First Aid training to support local sport and recreation volunteers
Tablelands Regional Council is offering free accredited First Aid and CPR training to volunteers from not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations across the region.
Volunteers play a vital role in our sport and recreation sector, and having first aid skills helps build confidence in managing incidents when they arise. This initiative supports safer participation in community sport and recreation while strengthening volunteer capability.
The program is designed to enhance safety standards across local organisations while supporting broader community wellbeing outcomes. Training will be delivered face-to-face by qualified and accredited First Aid trainers, with participants receiving nationally recognised certification, including First Aid and CPR.
Sessions will be held at the Coordination Centre, 15 Vernon Street, Atherton on the following dates:
• 9am-4pm Saturday 16 May — Full First Aid — FULLY BOOKED
• 9am-12pm Sunday 17 May — CPR Refresher
Morning tea and lunch will be provided for full-day sessions, with light refreshments available for CPR refresher courses. The program is limited to volunteers from not-for-profit organisations operating within the Tablelands Regional Council Local Government Area.
Places are limited so please register through the form below.
