Tablelands Regional Council is offering free accredited First Aid and CPR training and free Mental Health training for residents within the Tablelands Regional Council Local Government Area.
Free Community First Aid and CPR Courses (One-day course)
Training will be delivered face-to-face by qualified and accredited local First Aid trainers. Priority will be given to Community Disaster teams willing to support their community in a crisis and/or disaster situation by providing First Aid.
Participants will receive a nationally recognised certification:
First Aid and CPR Certificate HLTAID011 — valid for three years, CPR certificate requires yearly renewal.
Session dates and times:
- 9.00am–4.00pm Saturday 10 October 2026 — Mount Garnet
- 9.00am–4.00pm Saturday 17 October 2026 — Millaa Millaa
Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks. Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
Register by Friday 2 October 2026.

Upcoming Free Mental Health First Aid Course (Two-day course)
Gain practical knowledge and confidence to recognise, respond and support someone who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. This course is delivered in conjunction with Farmer to Farmer-UnitingCare.

- 8.45am–3.00pm Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 October 2026
Coordination Centre, 15 Vernon Street, Atherton
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Morning tea will be provided.
