Free Community Grant Writing Workshops

Tablelands Regional Council is offering free Grant Writing Workshops for residents, community groups, and organisations across the Tablelands Region.

The workshops will be delivered in person by experienced and knowledgeable facilitators with expertise in grant writing and funding processes and participants will learn practical skills to help improve their chances of securing funding for community projects and initiatives.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Understanding funding bodies and grant objectives
  • Aligning projects with funding priorities and community outcomes
  • Understanding grant eligibility criteria and responsibilities
  • Evaluation, reporting, and acquittal processes
  • Common grant writing tips and frequently asked questions

The workshops are designed to support community organisations and individuals in developing strong, evidence-based grant applications that meet funder expectations.

Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook, laptop, or relevant project ideas to assist with workshop activities and discussions. Tea, coffee, and water will be provided.

Friday 26 June, 2pm–5:00pm – Disaster Coordination Centre Atherton

Monday 29 June, 2pm–4:00pm – online session over Zoom – link will be provided.
