I Want To:

Waste & Recycling

We all have a responsibility to minimise the waste that we produce due to the ongoing long-term effects it has on our environment.

Council is committed to increasing the level of recycling within the shire, reducing the amount of waste going to landfill, ensuring responsible management of waste facilities, and limiting the cost of waste management to residents as much as possible.

You can make a difference by:

  1. Reducing the amount of waste you create (eg. take reusable bags shopping, buy in bulk to reduce packaging)
  2. Purchasing products that can be used over again rather than disposable products
  3. Creating a compost bin to put all food scraps, shredded paper, lawn and garden clippings
  4. Recycling as much as possible

Transfer Stations are conveniently located for disposal of waste.
