The efforts of local volunteers and sports people is supported through our Financial Donations & In-Kind Support program. Under this program, not-for-profit community groups and individuals are invited to apply for cash donations, in-kind support and remittance of rates and some fees and charges. This can include help from Council workers and free or discounted use of Council equipment, halls and reserves.

Council has developed a new policy to guide the implementation of the Financial and In-Kind Support Program. The new policy has been developed to take account of how the program has been operating for the past 12 months as well as the economic downturn and its impact on community organisations as well as Council's budget. It is a policy that reflects Council's ongoing commitment to supporting not-for-profit community organisations in a transparent, equitable and fiscally responsible manner.
