Supporting Atherton’s Growing Demand For Housing

Tablelands Regional Council has taken another step in addressing the growth in Atherton by approving a 48-lot subdivision on Weaver Street.

‘We are continuing to experience high residential growth in the region and this approval at last week’s Council meeting will provide more housing opportunities for our community and new residents,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.

‘We’ve approved around 300 lots so far this year, which is significantly above average and will go some way to meeting the ongoing demand for housing.

‘It will also drive investment in the residential development sector and provide opportunities for young people to enter the housing market so they stay and work in the region,’ Mayor Marti said.
