Charted in 1985, The Lions Club of Yungaburra Inc is a not-for-profit and part of Lions Australia. Throughout its history up until the present, the club has served the community of Yungaburra and surrounds, with fundraising for projects and to assist those in need within the community.

The Atherton Tablelands Agricultural Society Inc. (ATAS) is a distinguished not-for-profit organisation dedicated to celebrating and promoting the vibrant agricultural heritage of the Atherton Tablelands. Through dynamic and inclusive events, ATAS showcases local talent, fosters community spirit, and champions sustainable agricultural practices.
Our flagship event, the annual Agricultural Show, is designed to highlight the diverse agricultural, economic, artistic, and cultural opportunities that the Tablelands is renowned for. As one of the largest annual events on the Atherton Tablelands, the Atherton Show attracts between 6,500 and 9,000 attendees each year over a two-day period. This event garners interest from, and provides benefits to, the entire central and northern Tablelands region. The continued support from the Tablelands Regional Council and the Queensland Government is instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of the Show.
Commonly known as the Atherton Show Society, ATAS ensures that each of its events has a distinctive look and feel while remaining true to our core principles.

The Atherton BMX Club supports all riders wanting to learn BMX. Learn the basic skills at coaching, free track on Thursdays and racing on Friday nights.

BirdLife Northern Queensland
BirdLife Northern Queensland is one of the largest BirdLife Australia branches, encompassing the Torres Strait, Cape York, eastern Gulf Country, north-eastern arid interior, and the Wet Tropics. With such a diverse variety of habitats, the area has the largest avifauna of any region in Australia, with over 630 species recorded, making it a birding paradise. We are a member, supporter and volunteer-based organisation, and we welcome you to get involved.

Tableland Roller Derby League
The Atherton Tableland’s Only Roller Derby League!
Tableland Roller Derby League Inc. (TRDL) is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers – by the skater, for the skater. TRDL is dedicated to promoting the sport of flat track roller derby and supports, encourages and develops skaters in their skating ability, whilst promoting the values of goodwill and good sportsmanship.
TRDL will provide a safe environment for people to skate and participate in the sport of flat-track roller derby. TRDL has accepted the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association’s (WFTDA) rules and plays under these rules. TRDL will encourage all members in their skating ability and will provide opportunities for all members to realise their full potential.
General Information
Training sessions for 2023 are as follows:
Sundays: Atherton State High School Hall
2:30 – 3.30pm
We are on a “rolling intake” for 2023 this means we will take new people any Sunday if you message the page with your email and complete and pay for insurance with Skate Victoria. We also provide Skates and Safety Gear (except mouth guards) to get you started with an opportunity to buy later. No experience is necessary we will teach you to skate and we NEVER ask you to do something you are not comfortable with. Contact is only allowed once you have passed your minimum skills and cleared as a “SAFE” skater.
We’re not just limited to skaters for our league.
We also need Volunteers and Officials; Skating or Non-Skating. Spread the word and join us today!
