Projects of the Lions Club of Yungaburra Inc:
• Medical Aid Project – The Medical Aid Project medical aid program, which has proven to be an essential and valuable community service across the region and coast. Medical aid equipment provided includes hospital beds, wheelchairs, walking and bathroom aids for those who have undergone surgery or palliative care, so they can reside in their own home. The equipment is loaned to the community at no charge or time limit. Those who access this resource can choose to donate the ongoing service of the project.
• Yungaburra Heritage Tractor and Machinery Day (YHTMD), held annually on the fourth Saturday of September. The YHTMD features a wonderful range of heritage tractors, machinery, engines and equipment, showcasing machinery used in cropping, livestock farming and other agricultural activities across Queensland,, with a focus on the Atherton Tablelands. It’s also a great opportunity for enthusiasts to share their knowledge, stories and experiences, helping visitors discover more about the pioneering days of the Atherton Tablelands and the machinery that helped shape the region we know today.
• Fundraising – The Lions Club of Yungaburra Inc. has a food van and attends the Yungaburra Markets to sell food and drinks. The proceeds from this fundraising activity ensure the continuation of assistance to the local community and the medical aid project. The van is also taken to other events to which the club has been invited, as a fundraising activity. All members are volunteers and give their time in this activity to be of service to the community.

The club co-hosts the annual Yungaburra Christmas Concert held each December. First hosted by the Lions Club of Yungaburra Inc for over thirty years. In 2022, the Lions Club combined with the Yungaburra Beautification Committee to hold the event at the new Yungaburra Rotunda. This event is for the whole Yungaburra community with a focus on families coming together to celebrate Christmas and enjoy an evening of singing, food, entertainment, and giving back to an amazing community.
The annual Yungaburra Heritage Tractor and Machinery Day, organized by the Lions Club of Yungaburra Inc., highlights the history of agricultural machinery and innovation on the Atherton Tablelands. This event is held annually fourth Saturday in September.
The Lions Club of Yungaburra Inc is at the monthly Yungaburra Markets with their food van. The funds raised assist the various projects of the club to help the community.
