Members work on projects which benefit the community and membership, and help stage local community events such as the Malanda Car Show, the Malanda Fun Day, and Savannah in the Round. We also hold a monthly market stall at Malanda markets to sell our produce and donated tools and bric a brac.
We have two premises.
The former Uniting Church site has the Peter Winn Leather Room, a Lead-lighting facility, and general woodworking machinery. Here we refurbish furniture, make leather goods, pursue cabinet making and wood turning.
We hold our meetings here with full kitchen facilities and hire out the adjoining hall to other groups.
Our newly commissioned metal working facility in Park Avenue (next to the Bowling Club) is devoted to hot work, machining, cutting and general metal trades work.
These facilities have been used to renovate local tourist landmarks and memorials, repair items for community members and schools, and assist those in need of help and company.
Each month we hold a social event that include BBQ, historical tours of the Tablelands, guest speakers, sporting events and other activities proposed by members.

Our members volunteer at Savannah in the Round, the Rotary Field Days and the Malanda Car Show

The Malanda Car Show in October is our major event, but we also have a monthly market stall and contribute to the Malanda Fun Day with activities in June at Jack May Park.
