Malanda Bull Ride
The BIG Pub Malanda Bull Ride is always a huge event for the Malanda community. It draws crowds from all over and showcases our impressive town. An event of this calibre does, however, require substantial support.
Spectators can expect around six hours of epic entertainment in total, from the calf rides, local bullock rides, and novice bull rides in the afternoon to the mini bull, junior, and open rides in the evening. Those attending can also enjoy watching all the action close-up on the live big screen—you won’t miss a thing!
Riders from across the country travel from near and far to wow the crowds. Since commencing in 2012, this event has grown considerably and has brought both the local community and visitors together for an evening of excitement, sportsmanship and sheer entertainment.
From an initial crowd of 800 to now over 4000, this event continues to get bigger and better each year.
The evening is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about donating their time for such a worthy cause and who realise that their hard work benefits Malanda and the greater Tablelands region in many different ways.
