Club Info

Atherton Pistol Club hosts pistol matches on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 8am.
Wednesdays are generally only standard pistol matches, where competitors shoot targets on the 25 metre range.
Sundays see standard pistol matches, service pistol matches, action pistol matches, military pistol matches, metallic silhouette pistol matches, and the ever-popular International Practical Shooting Challenge.

On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, we host a field rifles match using .22LRs on targets at 25 metres, 50 metres, and 100 metres.
This match is a bench-rest event for the 50 and 100 metre targets and free-standing unsupported for the 25 metre targets.

Volunteer Opportunities

Members are encouraged to pitch in with a wide range of volunteer duties, from mowing and weed spraying to painting, target frame construction, batter maintenance, cleaning, pressure washing, etc.

Events

Atherton Pistol Club is the venue for International Practical Shooting Challenge Level Two events a couple of times a year.

Membership Info

Annual membership covers the cost of the targets as well as the club’s lease, rates, water, insurance, etcetera.

Adult Members: $200
Pensioners: $160
Additional adult family member: $160
Junior Member: $90

Potential members don’t need a Concealable Firearms License to try pistol shooting; the club has the paperwork required by the state government for new shooters to try the sport. The club also has its own pistols that new shooters can use. The club will also assist new members with the process of applying for a Concealable Firearms License.
