Get ready for a 70s and 80s Spectacular to feature at the Priors Creek Parklands opening weekend!

The Priors Creek Parklands opening weekend celebrations will include a highlight performance with a 70s and 80s Spectacular, bringing another night of live music to the new precinct.

The show will start at 6.30pm on Saturday 11 July, with a set packed with favourite hits from the 70s and 80s.

The Saturday night show follows Friday evening’s headline performance by SOS The Australian ABBA Tribute Show and is the next in a series of announcements leading up to the opening of Priors Creek Parklands. Further opening weekend activities and entertainment will be announced soon, with Council encouraging residents and visitors to watch this space as the full program comes together.

Tablelands Regional Council General Manager Placemaking Greg Bowden said the Priors Creek Parklands opening weekend would form part of a bumper weekend of events across the Tablelands.

‘Saturday alone will give residents and visitors plenty of reasons to get out across the region,’ Mr Bowden said.

‘You’ll be able to attend opening weekend with yet-to-be-announced activities at Priors Creek Parklands, head to Yungaburra for the Gillies Range Centenary celebrations, and visit the Iron and Steam Fair in Herberton. Then wrap it all up with a night of great music under the stars back at Priors Creek.

‘It’s shaping up as a great weekend to visit the Tablelands, explore our communities and stay a little longer.

‘And after a full day out across the region, you can cap it all off with the 70s and 80s Spectacular at Priors Creek Parklands.’

The 70s and 80s Spectacular starts at 6.30pm on Saturday 11 July at Priors Creek Parklands.
