Policy is the means by which councillors can set their rules and intent to guide Council officers. Councillors may, by resolution, vary or set aside policy when making decisions but all Council officers are bound by policy. All Council policies are published on our website.
All our Council agendas, and most of our strategies, plans and reports are also routinely published on our website. There may be things you would like to know, which is not currently available. In that case a simple call or email to our customer relations team is the best way to find it. If it is information that we can release without assessment, we will. If we aren’t sure, we might ask you to submit Right to Information request. This enables us to make an assessment against the prescribed guidelines to determine if the information can be released.
