By participating in the Tablelands Disaster Photo Competition, you agree to these terms and conditions. The competition is organised by Tablelands Regional Council (TRC).
Eligibility
- The competition is open to any community member aged 12-years and above, who have taken a disaster-related photo within the Tablelands Region.
- Each participant may submit up to three entries.
- Entries must be original photos taken by the entrant within the TRC boundaries depicting disaster events, response efforts or community resilience and recovery.
- Entries must have been taken safely and in a manner that complies with legislation, local laws and regulations.
Submission Guidelines
- Photos must be submitted in jpg or png format.
- Photos should be uploaded in its full and original format.
- Stock images and clip art are not eligible.
- All entries must be original photos taken using a camera (digital, film or phone).
- Photos must not include watermarks, frames or branding.
- Participants confirm they hold full rights to their submitted photos and consent of individuals.
- AI-generated images are not allowed. Photos edited with generative AI tools that add non-original pixels are also prohibited.
- TRC may request original image files to verify authenticity. Failure to provide these files, including related shots from the same session, may lead to disqualification.
Prizes
Winners will receive:
- 1st place — disaster emergency kit valued at approximately $250.
- 2nd place — $100 gift card to go towards your emergency kit
- 3rd and 4th places — $50 gift card to go towards your emergency kit.
- 5th and 6th places — first aid kit.
Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided. TRC reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.
Winner Selection & Announcement
- Winning photos will be selected based on relevance to the theme, composition and overall impact.
- Winners will be selected by the Tablelands Local Disaster Management Group and TRC Councillors.
- Winners will be notified via the contact details provided upon entry by Monday 30 June 2025.
- If a winner does not respond within five working days of being contacted they will forfeit the prize and a new winner may be selected.
Use of Photos
By entering the competition, participants agree to the conditions of the conditions of the TRC Contributor License Deed.
Closing Date
- The competition closes at 5pm Monday 2 June 2025.
General Conditions
- TRC reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
- TRC accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury suffered by entrants as a result of participating.
- Decisions made by TRC regarding the competition are final and binding.
