Abandoned vehicles are unsightly and dangerous. They can also encourage vandalism and arson, and endanger property, lives and the environment.
Registered and unregistered vehicles, trailers, caravans, horse floats, etc that are parked on a TRC road or public place can be removed if it is considered to be abandoned or causes a safety risk to the public. Unless owners claim possession, abandoned vehicles are offered for sale by public auction.
