Atherton BMX Club promotes active, family-friendly recreation on the Tablelands through regular training, race events and come and try days. The club encourages participation from 2 years and all abilities, celebrates local riders, and strengthens community connections by providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy the sport of BMX.

Atherton Basketball Association Inc

Atherton Basketball Association Inc. is a volunteer-run sporting organisation based in Far North Queensland. We offer weekly basketball games and on-court training for both new and experienced players during Queensland school terms 1, 2, and 3. All activities take place at the Atherton State High School Community Hall on Maunds Street.
Our programs include:

Aussie Hoops (Under 10s)
Junior Boys and Girls: U12, U14, U16, U18
Senior Men’s and Women’s Basketball

We also proudly host the Wheelchair Social Competition—an inclusive and accessible program open to all. This exciting initiative welcomes able-bodied and adaptive players, as well as independent and self-sufficient referees. Held every Wednesday in Term 2, it’s a great opportunity to get involved in a fun and supportive environment.

Charted in 1985, The Lions Club of Yungaburra Inc is a not-for-profit and part of Lions Australia. Throughout its history up until the present, the club has served the community of Yungaburra and surrounds, with fundraising for projects and to assist those in need within the community.

The Atherton Tablelands Agricultural Society Inc. (ATAS) is a distinguished not-for-profit organisation dedicated to celebrating and promoting the vibrant agricultural heritage of the Atherton Tablelands. Through dynamic and inclusive events, ATAS showcases local talent, fosters community spirit, and champions sustainable agricultural practices.
Our flagship event, the annual Agricultural Show, is designed to highlight the diverse agricultural, economic, artistic, and cultural opportunities that the Tablelands is renowned for. As one of the largest annual events on the Atherton Tablelands, the Atherton Show attracts between 6,500 and 9,000 attendees each year over a two-day period. This event garners interest from, and provides benefits to, the entire central and northern Tablelands region. The continued support from the Tablelands Regional Council and the Queensland Government is instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of the Show.

Commonly known as the Atherton Show Society, ATAS ensures that each of its events has a distinctive look and feel while remaining true to our core principles.
