No Expansion of Tolga Industrial Estate

Mayor Rod Marti delivered a Mayoral Minute, halting the proposed expansion of the Tolga Industrial Estate into the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail corridor, at Tableland Regional Council’s ordinary meeting today.

‘We should always endeavour to secure, develop and protect, where possible, things that enhance our Tableland lifestyle for future generations.

‘Decisions like this recognise and value our recreational space, and this isn’t about diminishing industry development in our region, it’s about looking back in years to come to see the amazing asset we have preserved.

‘This decision is a great outcome for the broader Tableland community, now and into the future,’ said Mayor Marti.
