Free Men’s Health Program

Tablelands Regional Council is collaborating with Men’s Health Advisory Service to deliver a free men’s health and wellbeing program across the region.

‘The Life Wasn’t Meant to be Easy program is a free all-abilities health and wellbeing program targeting older men,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.

‘This program equips men with essential life skills, fosters positive health impacts through camaraderie, addresses the impacts of social isolation and identifies support resources.

‘We’ll reduce the stigma around men’s mental and physical health and provide a safe space to openly talk and learn about issues that men face.

‘As a Council we’re committed to delivering our Age-Friendly Strategy 2022–27 and offering opportunities for social engagement to older Tableland men,’ Mayor Marti said.

The program runs 10am–2pm Fridays:

  • 12 April — Merriland Hall, Atherton Showground
  • 26 April — Yungaburra Community Hall
  • 10 May — Patrick English Pavilion, Malanda Showgrounds
  • 24 May — Herberton Hall
  • 7 June — Ravenshoe Town Hall

Lunch will be provided. Register below.
