Changes to Kerbside Bin Collection

Tablelands Regional Council’s kerbside collection days and times are changing in the week commencing Wednesday 5 June.

‘We’re making these changes to our services to improve efficiencies, reduce the number of vehicles operating on some days, and even out the service to accommodate future growth,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.

‘The changes are for general waste and recycling collections, and most collection routes across the region will be affected.

‘To ensure everyone knows about the changes we’ll be placing stickers on your bins and flyers in letterboxes with change details, and providing information at trc.qld.gov.au/kerbside-changes.

‘If you don’t get a sticker between Monday 20 and Friday 31 May, and your street is not listed on our website, your collection day is not changing.

‘The time your bin is collected may change, regardless if your day changes or not.

‘As always, get your bins out by 5am on day of collection, at least 50cm apart and well away from overhanging trees, parked vehicles and powerlines.

‘There won’t be a change to the frequency of collections — we’ll still be collecting general waste weekly, and recycling fortnightly.

Get in touch if your bin is missed and remember you can check your bin collection day on the kerbside collection calendar,’ Mayor Rod Marti said.
