This warning is from Tablelands Regional Council.
Heavy to locally intense rainfall is forecast to persist about the tropical east coast and adjacent inland areas. Multiple flood and severe weather warnings are in place.

Impacts
- River and creek levels may rise quickly.
- Low lying areas near rivers and creeks may flood.
- Flash flooding is possible and drains may overflow.
- Some roads could be flooded.
- Very heavy rain may make it dangerous to drive.
What you should do
- Stay up to date because conditions could change overnight:

- Listen to your local radio station.
- Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
- Decide what you will do if flooding starts.
- Find out how to get ready at Get Ready Queensland.
- Stay away from rivers and creeks.
- Batten down and tie up boats, jetskis and pontoons. Haul out if you can.
- If flooding starts, do not drive unless you have to.
If you think you may be affected by flooding:
- Consider when you will go to a safe and high place, away from flooding. This could be with family or a friend.
- If you leave, take your pets, pet food, pet lead, crate, mobile phone, charger, enough clothes for five, important documents (like identification, insurance papers and passport), medicine, cash, valuables and keys.
- Block toilets, sinks and drains with sandbags to stop sewerage backflow.
- Lock windows and doors.
- If you come to a flooded road, turn around and go another way. Do not drive through floodwater.
If you find it hard to move quickly:
- Start getting ready now in case the flood gets worse and you need to leave:
- Pack a bag with enough clothes for five days, important documents (like identification, insurance papers and passports), medicine, cash and keys.
- Call your support service, a family member or a friend to organise transport if the flood gets worse and you need to leave.
- Leaving early is safer than waiting.
