Art Workshops

It’s all about birds at Tablelands Regional Council’s art workshops on ceramics and watercolours.

‘Most people will recognise Linda Bates’s quirky ceramic figures and we’re delighted that she’s running a ceramic workshop,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.

‘Linda will show you how to create and glaze ceramic birds over a two-day workshop, 9.00am–12noon Saturday 25 May and Saturday 8 June.

‘This fun workshop is open to all ages and skills, and families are welcome.

‘Places are limited so book for this workshop by Monday 20 May.

‘In June Joanne Bingham is running a watercolour workshop where you’ll see demonstrations of drawing, brush work and paint application, and paint your own family of colourful birds.

‘The Whimsical Birds Workshop is 10.00am–1.30pm Saturday 1 June and is open to adults only, including watercolour beginners.

‘Places are limited so book for this workshop by Monday 27 May,’ Mayor Marti said.

The workshops are held at the Old Post Office Gallery, Herberton Road, Atherton.

Costs are $35/person for the ceramic workshop, and $55/person for the watercolour workshop — all materials are supplied.
