Free WISE Forum to Support Women Across the Tablelands

Tablelands Regional Council is launching the Women’s Initiative for Skills & Empowerment (WISE) with a free regional forum.

The WISE Forum is designed to support women across the Tablelands to build confidence, strengthen skills and explore local career pathways.

‘The launch forum will bring together women, employers, mentors and community organisations to connect, share ideas and learn about the opportunities available through the program’ said Mayor, Rod Marti.

‘Women play an incredibly important role in our regional communities and economy, and initiatives like WISE help strengthen participation and opportunity across our region’.

‘Following the forum, a series of free workshops will be delivered locally across the Tablelands focusing on financial literacy, digital capability and employability skills,’ Mayor Marti said.

The workshop program will be delivered in partnership with organisations with expertise in these areas, including the Indigenous Consumer Assistance Network (ICAN), NBN Co and Vocational Partnerships Group (VPG).

Women from across the Tablelands are encouraged to attend the launch forum and learn more about the program. Registrations are essential.
