DESCRIPTION:Tablelands Regional Council will host a commemorative service on Saturday 15 August to mark the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Pacific and the end of the Second World War. \nThe event at Rocky Creek War Memorial Park\, Kennedy Highway\, Tolga\, includes the unveiling of new individual and military unit plaques honouring service personnel connected to the Atherton Tablelands. \nProgram\n10.00–11.00am: Family commemoration for those unveiling new plaques\n11.15–11.45am: Dedication and unveiling of individual plaques\n12noon–12.45pm: Sausage sizzle\, live music and displays\n12.50pm: Guests seated for the Memorial Service\n1.00–2.00pm: VP Day Memorial Service \nRSVPs are requested by Wednesday 12 August\, and are required for anyone wishing to lay a wreath.
