SUMMARY:Yungaburra Traditional Christmas Carols
DESCRIPTION:This much-loved community event will kick off at 6:00 pm with a free sausage sizzle for all to enjoy. A coffee van will be on-site for those who’d like to purchase a warm drink\, and there’ll be free gift bags for primary school-aged children. Donations collected on the night will go toward supporting local school chaplaincy programs\, helping young people across our district. \nAt 7:00 pm\, the evening continues with time of singing traditional Christmas carols together\, including a performance by children from Yungaburra State School. We’ll also share the story of Christmas\, a message of hope\, joy\, and peace that continues to inspire communities around the world. \nWhether you’re a long-time local or just visiting\, everyone is welcome to come along\, sing along\, and celebrate together. SUMMARY:Sunday in the Park - Atherton Tablelands Instrumental Music
DESCRIPTION:The monthly Sunday in the Park concert\, hosted by the Yungaburra Community Rotunda\, will feature students from the Atherton Tablelands Instrumental Music (ATIM) program. \nThe Southern Tablelands Primary Concert band consists of students from Herberton State School\, Ravenshoe State Schools\, Walkamin State School\, Malanda Primary\, and Malanda High. This ensemble will come together for the first time to perform for this particular concert. Conductor\, Mrs. Otto\, has been teaching instrumental music for ten years and has been based in North Queensland for the last seven years. They look forward to presenting a diverse range of pieces\, from concert band pieces. \nDate: Sunday 14 September 2025 \nTime: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm \nVenue: Yungaburra Community Rotunda \nThis is a family-friendly free event\, and if you wish\, you can donate directly to the band. All are welcome to attend! \nRemember to bring along a chair\, blanket\, or rug to reserve your piece of front-row lawn. Parking is available via Short Street. In case of rain\, the alternative venue will be the Yungaburra Rec Shed\, Barrine Road (next to the tennis courts).
