DESCRIPTION:A free\, fun and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk\, jog\, run\, volunteer or spectate. \nHeld every Saturday between 7 -8am on the rail trail\, starting and finishing at the corner of  Weaver Street and Atherton-Herberton Road (opposite Platypus Park). \nThe course is two laps\, one longer loop (3.3kms) and a shorter loop (1.7kms).  Participants proceed to the bollard in Priors Creek park (1st turnaround)\, back to the start (2nd turnaround)\, to the marked bollard near IGA (3rd turnaround) and back to the start to finish.

Showcasing the trees is part of the Yungaburra Beautification Inc’s project committee’s enhancement plan for the village which began 13 years ago with the introduction of hanging flower baskets\, alongside several other projects including the village rotunda and restoration of the original century old kerosene streetlight. \nYungaburra Beautification Inc plans to coordinate the turning on of the tree lights with the already established lights that illuminate the cenotaph\, dancing brolgas which feature on the corner of Fig Street and the Gillies Highway\, and the original railway station identification sign. \nThe celebration is scheduled for 7:00 pm and those attending are asked to gather at Kehoe Park next to the Information Centre. \n  \n \n  \n
