DESCRIPTION:You are invited to linger longer in Yungaburra after the Saturday Markets on August 22nd and enjoy a three-course LONG LUNCH at Nicks Restaurant from 11.30am to 2pm\, complete with raffles\, lucky door prizes and a lively auction as we celebrate ten years of REGAINED\, helping children in western Kenya regain opportunities lost through disability and poverty.  Tickets are just $50 and can be purchased online at https://events.humanitix.com/long-lunch-in-yungaburra where you will see the menu choices for the three-course meal as well a link to the REGAINED website where you can read more of the projects in Kenya. Bookings are essential.\n \nThe proceeds will support the work of REGAINED\, helping children in western Kenya regain opportunities lost through disability and poverty. REGAINED does this by enabling children with disabilities to attend schools specialising in teaching children with visual\, hearing\, physical or intellectual impairments. REGAINED also provides support for children to access medical and allied health services such as physiotherapy and optometry\, services which are beyond affordability for many families living in poverty.

DESCRIPTION:The Yungaburra Heritage Tractor & Machinery Day will return to Lions Oval\, Tinaburra Drive\, Yungaburra\, on Saturday 26 September 2026 from 9:00am to 1:00pm\, celebrating the rich agricultural history and mechanical heritage of the Atherton Tablelands. \nNow in its second year\, this growing community event will feature an impressive display of heritage tractors\, trucks\, engines and machinery used in agriculture across the Atherton Tablelands and wider region. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet passionate collectors and enthusiasts while learning about the machines that helped shape the region’s agricultural and economic development. \nA key highlight of the day will be live tractor pull demonstrations by NQ Tractor Pulling Inc.\, running throughout the morning. This demonstration will showcase vintage and classic tractors as they pull a purpose-built weight transfer sled along a 120-metre track\, offering a powerful and engaging display of heritage machinery in action. Put on your party vibe and get down and boogie in the Community Hall Friday and Saturday nights to the sounds of some of the most exciting dance bands in Oz and beyond. Wander the multiple venues throughout the Village to enjoy a full weekend of music and entertainment. \nOur Shine-A-Light program highlights local emerging performers\, nurturing and empowering the next generation of creative musical talent. \nThe McGinty’s Irish Bar TFF Songwriter’s Competition is open to emerging and more experienced songwriters with substantial prizes including a recording package.
