SUMMARY:Atherton Parkrun
DESCRIPTION:A free\, fun and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk\, jog\, run\, volunteer or spectate. \nHeld every Saturday between 7 -8am on the rail trail\, starting and finishing at the corner of  Weaver Street and Atherton-Herberton Road (opposite Platypus Park). \nThe course is two laps\, one longer loop (3.3kms) and a shorter loop (1.7kms).  Participants proceed to the bollard in Priors Creek park (1st turnaround)\, back to the start (2nd turnaround)\, to the marked bollard near IGA (3rd turnaround) and back to the start to finish.

SUMMARY:Yungaburra Traditional Christmas Carols
DESCRIPTION:This much-loved community event will kick off at 6:00 pm with a free sausage sizzle for all to enjoy. A coffee van will be on-site for those who’d like to purchase a warm drink\, and there’ll be free gift bags for primary school-aged children. Donations collected on the night will go toward supporting local school chaplaincy programs\, helping young people across our district. \nAt 7:00 pm\, the evening continues with time of singing traditional Christmas carols together\, including a performance by children from Yungaburra State School. We’ll also share the story of Christmas\, a message of hope\, joy\, and peace that continues to inspire communities around the world. \nWhether you’re a long-time local or just visiting\, everyone is welcome to come along\, sing along\, and celebrate together.
