TRC Adopts 2024-25 Annual Report With A Community-First Format
Tablelands Regional Council has adopted its 2024–25 Annual Report with a new, more comprehensive and accessible format designed to give the community a clear picture of what Council has delivered over the past year. The report brings together major project updates, service performance, financial results and organisational improvements in one easy-to-read document.
Mayor Rod Marti said the report reflects a year of strong progress across key priorities.
‘We’ve worked hard to make this Annual Report more informative and useful for the broader community,’ Mayor Marti said.
‘This year we advanced essential water projects in Ravenshoe, Millstream and the Malanda–Davies Road area, kept core services operating through extended wet weather, and delivered major stages of the Priors Creek Parklands. We also welcomed our new CEO, Dr Nikola Stepanov, whose leadership has strengthened governance and performance across the organisation.’
The report highlights improvements in customer service, long-term financial planning, asset management and community engagement, along with key service statistics and progress against the Corporate Plan.
CEO Dr Nikola Stepanov said the report demonstrates the commitment of Council staff and partners.
‘Our teams have delivered services every day while improving systems, planning and accountability. With a small ratepayer base and a large ageing asset portfolio, this work is essential to maintaining our community’s liveability and resilience,’ Dr Stepanov said.
