Place of Worship & Caretaker’s Accommodation

A development permit was approved for a material change of use — Place of Worship and Caretaker’s Accommodation — on land situated at 43 Robert Street, Atherton, subject to conditions.

Change of Development Approval

A minor change to the development approval for Lot 100 on Manthey Road, Tolga was approved.

Infrastructure Charges Commercial (Bulk Goods) Policy Endorsed

The Infrastructure Charges Commercial (Bulk Goods) Policy provides capped infrastructure charges levied against a commercial bulk goods development with a gross floor area equal to or greater than 4,000m².

Change to Ordinary Meeting — January 2023

Council resolved to reschedule the ordinary Council meeting due to be held on Thursday 26 January to Wednesday 25 January 2023.

Lakeside Caravan Park Management Extension

The current management service for the caravan park was extended for a further 12 months commencing from Wednesday 1 February 2023.

Register of Pre-Qualified Suppliers Endorsed

The register will be used to provide occasional plant hire for future TRC projects.

Disaster Relief Funding Arrangements Variation

A variation of funding was endorsed for the continued provision of the Disaster Relief Funding Arrangements program management services relating to Ex-Tropical Cyclone Imogen and the associated low-pressure system.

Water & Sewerage Budget Reallocation Endorsed

The reallocation of capital funding will support one wastewater and two water projects. The schemes are the Varley Road booster pumps replacement, Malanda-Davies Road water supply scheme integration and Atherton sewerage upgrades.

Financial Report

Operating revenue is achieving budget expectations with a variance of just -0.95%. Capital revenue reflects the final milestone payment from the Local Government Grants and Subsidy Program for the Ravenshoe Water project, and capital expenditure is currently under year-to-date budget expectations.

2021–22 Audit Report Noted

Following the completion of the 2021–22 financial audit, the Queensland Audit Office has issued an unmodified audit opinion and provided the final management and closing report.

Driveways & Crossovers

A report will be prepared detailing the legislative framework for the construction and maintenance of driveways, crossovers, and access from TRC-controlled roads into private property.
