CEO Report
The CEO’s December report acknowledged and thanked the TRC team coordinating the Tablelands Interagency Group, highlighted the community survey for the new multi-purpose facility in Malanda (open for responses until 12 January), mentioned the Local Government (Empowering Councils) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2025, and provided updates on some of our ongoing projects.
Kennedy Highway – Material Change of Use
A Material Change of Use from shop to office was approved for premises at 28 Kennedy Highway, Tolga.
Daly Street – Reconfiguring of a Lot
Reconfiguring of a lot (one lot into three lots) was conditionally approved for land at 2-10 Daly Street Tolga.
Principal Cycling Network
The Principal Cycle Network plan, recently updated by the Department of Transport and Main Roads following statewide community consultation, was endorsed enabling TRC to apply for future funding under the Cycle Network Local Governments Grants program.
Capital Projects Report
The November 2025 Capital Projects Report was received, outlining progress across road, bridge, water, wastewater, facility and public space projects, including works at Priors Creek Parklands.
Finance Report – November 2025
Council received the monthly Finance Report. It was noted that the positive operating result to date had primarily been delivered through budget savings initiatives and increased revenue due to water consumption being slightly higher than estimated. McGregor Tan was recognised as a sole/specialised supplier.
Tenders Awarded for Works and Services
Tenders were awarded for culvert replacements on Soley, Coolgarra and Morganbury Roads, pavement rehabilitation for Ball Road, and for the provision of management services at Lakeside Caravan Park.
