Safer Seniors on the Road
Tablelands Regional Council (TRC) is offering free Seniors on the Road programs for older Tablelanders.
‘Seniors on the Road supports drivers over 55 to stay safe, confident and independent by keeping them up to date with road rules and safe driving practices,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.
‘The free sessions, delivered in partnership with Department of Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Police Service, provide practical strategies on navigating roads, understanding the link between health and driving, and planning for the future.
‘The sessions are inclusive and accessible, and provide a supportive space for seniors to share experiences and ask questions, with expert guidance.
‘The sessions are 10.00–11.30am Fridays 28 November and 5 December at the Coordination Centre, 15 Vernon Street, Atherton,’ Mayor Marti said.
Places are limited so register online or at 1300 362 242 by Friday 7 November.
