Walking Network Plans

Tablelands Regional Council is seeking input from the community to help identify the short and long-term walking needs for Ravenshoe. We want to hear from you to pinpoint where more/improved/different footpaths and connections can be established across the Ravenshoe town centre. We want to understand main routes of pedestrian traffic and build a more complete picture of our current network of pedestrian infrastructure.

The survey is now closed! Thank you to all those who took the time to provide your feedback on the footpath network in Ravenshoe. Your responses will be collated and used to complete a Walking Network Plan for the town that will help secure funding for future footpath upgrades and repairs.

TRC has secured funding as part of the Walking Local Government Grants program to develop a Walking Network Plan for Ravenshoe. This program, administered by the Department of Transport and Main Roads, is focused on outcomes which achieve the vision of the Queensland Walking Strategy.

This funding is intended to assist local governments in planning for future community’s active transport needs. The Walking Network plans will allow TRC to plan and prioritise improvements and upgrades and will assist in grant funding applications.
