TRC Cultural Plan 2022-26

TRC could seek funding to develop an artist mentoring program. By training & paying established local artists to mentor young & early-career artists, it would enable both mentor & mentee to increase their confidence, foster connections, & take on leadership roles to increase the value & accessibility of the arts in their communities.

A Sculpture Trail in Herberton, created along one of the many walking tracks in the area. Featuring works by local sculptors, inspired by the area’s indigenous, post-colonial & natural heritage.

A partnership between TRC, Makers Shopfront and Flying Arts Alliance, delivering a regional co-hosting program, would provide business skills & mentoring to enable local creatives to build profitable, sustainable careers. This can be delivered either in-person or online, making it more easily accessible to TRC communities.
