Dog registration payments were due on Monday 30 June and Tablelands Regional Council will be conducting an approved inspection program in the region to check for compliance.
‘If you haven’t paid your annual dog registration then you need to come and see us before we see you,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.
‘We’ll be out and about on Paw Patrol from Friday 1 August 2025 to Sunday 1 February 2026 and will be checking that dogs are registered and microchipped.
‘We’ll help owners with the registration application if we find unregistered dogs or leave a card and come back later if no-one is home.
‘We hope we don’t have to issue warning letters — we’d much rather all dogs are microchipped and registered so we can reunite them with owners as quickly as possible if they go missing.
‘Please get in touch if you didn’t receive your renewal notice,’ Mayor Marti said.
