Tablelands Regional Council supports local sport, fitness, recreation and wellness in the community by promoting community participation in active pursuits through provision of free and subsidised sport and active recreation activities.
The Community Wellbeing Participation Program (CWPP) aims to provide a range of free sport and active recreation programs across each of the major towns in the Tablelands local government area over a period of 8 weeks in February to April 2020. Activities on offer will be inclusive and cater to the needs of people of all abilities. Different sessions will be accessible to people of different ages, experience / skill levels and persons with a disability.
The program also seeks to promote healthy lifestyle changes by maintaining participation rates not only for the duration of the program, but also into the future and to promote increased (and ongoing) membership of local clubs and businesses engaged in provision of sport and/or active recreation activities.
The range of activities to be offered is being finalised. Stay tuned for updates.
