Hands-On Activities at the Tableland Regional Gallery

Stuck for ideas to keep the kids occupied these school holidays?

Why not head down to the Tableland Regional Gallery for free and exciting hands-on activities with the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art’s (QAGOMA) APT10 Kids on Tour?!

‘Children and families will explore and experience a range of contemporary art styles and hands-on craft activities created by artists from Australia, Asia and the Pacific,’ said Councillor Peter Hodge.

‘The wide range of activities celebrate community, diversity and mindful contemplation,’ he said.

‘Since 1998, QAGOMA has collaborated with more than 290 Australian and international contemporary artists to produce engaging interactive projects, activities and publications for children and families,’ said QAGOMA Director Chris Saines.

‘APT10 Kids on Tour includes activities developed in collaboration with artists Shannon Novak (Aotearoa New Zealand), Phuong Ngo (Australia), Syagini Ratna Wulan (Indonesia), Jamilah Haji (Thailand), Gidree Bawlee Foundation of Arts (Bangladesh) and Vipoo Srivilasa (Thailand/Australia),’ Mr Saines said.

The activities will be at the Tableland Regional Gallery from Saturday 25 June until Saturday 9 July.

Children under 12-years-old must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
