Get Ready School Holiday Fun

Tablelands Regional Council is hosting fun, inclusive and educational morning activities on preparing for disasters.

‘These great activities are for all ages and abilities, and you’ll learn smart and practical ways you can prepare yourself and your family for disasters,’ said Local Disaster Management Group Chair Rod Marti.

‘We’re in this together so take this opportunity to meet your local Disaster Management Team and learn how we can support each other during emergencies

‘We’ll give you tips and tools to take home, and the kids will receive the new Koko the Cockatoo’s Disaster Activity Book.

‘Our libraries are a hub for learning and safety resources so, while you’re there, have a look at what else is on offer,’ Mayor Marti said.

The sessions are at:

• Atherton Library — 10.00am–12.00noon Tuesday 30 September and Wednesday 1 October
• Herberton Library — 10.00am–12.00noon Thursday 25 September
• Ravenshoe Library — 10.00am–12.00noon Wednesday 24 September
