Free Careers Program
Are you thinking about your career, or not sure if you want a career or where you’d like it to go?
Tablelands Regional Council (TRC) has teamed with project partners and community supporters to provide a free local career guidance program for young Tablelanders (15–24 years).
‘This is a great opportunity for young people looking to start or change their careers, and those who are re-entering the workforce,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.
‘The program has three stages and we’ve just opened registration for stage 1, which offers 1hr one-on-one career development and exploration sessions with our Career Guidance and Support Advisor.
‘The sessions will include practical activities and tools to help make informed decisions about career interests and pathway preferences.
‘Participants may also be referred to other stages of the program including career readiness, career tasters and/or existing pathways such as start-up programs, higher education or training.
‘The sessions will be held in Atherton, Malanda and Ravenshoe throughout September and October so there’s plenty of opportunity to find a day, time and place that suits you.

This project is funded by the Australian Government’s National Careers Institute (NCI) Partnerships Grant, in which Tablelands Regional Council was one of nine projects selected Australia wide.
