Lend Your Voice To Advisory Committees

Tablelands Regional Council is searching for new members for two new advisory committees.

‘We’re looking for passionate people in our community to volunteer for our new Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail and Cycling advisory committees,’ said Councillor Dave Bilney.

‘The Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail committee will provide advice and recommendations, develop and maintain relationships, facilitate communication, inform strategic and long-term management of the rail trail, and facilitate grant funding opportunities.

‘Membership is for two years and the committee meets every three months.

‘The development of the Tablelands Region Cycling Strategy 2023–33 will be informed, in part, by the Cycling Advisory Committee.

‘Membership on this committee is for the duration of the development of the strategy, which is expected to be March to August this year, and the committee will meet monthly.

‘Terms of reference and application forms are available online.

‘Applications for the Cycling Advisory Committee close on Sunday 9 April, and for the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail Advisory Committee on Friday 14 April,’ said Councillor Bilney.
