Christmas Lights Competition Winners

The Tablelands are a spectacle of sparkling Christmas displays with 24 nominations (3 streets and 21 residence) vying for the top spots in this year’s Christmas Lights Competition. Judges for the competition this year were Councillors Con Spanos and Kylie Lang.

‘I’d like to thank all the participants. They’re all great lights, and I’m surprised so many people went to so much trouble. The effort that was put into it was quite amazing’ said Councillor Con Spanos.

Councillor Kylie Lang added ‘I just want to say thank you to everyone that did do lights, whether you entered or not It was awesome to see our towns lit up. It was fantastic bringing that Christmas spirit to the region’.

The winners of this year’s competition were:

• First place residence — 38-40 Oleander Drive, Yungaburra
• Second place residence — 3 Wattle Close, Yungaburra
• Third place residence — 33 Paine Street, Atherton
• First place street — Wattle Close, Yungaburra
• Second place street — Filippo Close, Tolga
• Third place street — Ellwood Close, Atherton
• People’s Choice — Unit 2/13 Coolgarra Road, Mount Garnet
