How Training Works
A training organisation will work with you and your employer to develop a training plan, which describes what, when and how you do your training. They also deliver all your formal training and assessment.
Your training may be:
- online
- at work, with an on-site trainer
- in class at a training organisation
- a combination of the above.
Training Frequency
How often you attend training will vary, but most trainees attend training 1–2 days/fortnight and apprentices for a few weeks at a time as a block.
Partnership
Your traineeship or apprenticeship is a partnership between:
- you
- your employer
- your training organisation
- your Apprentice Connect Australia provider.
Supervision
You will be supervised in the workplace by an appropriately qualified person who works in the same workplace during the same working hours as you.
Application Process
Applications will be assessed against the criteria in the position description and eligibility will be assessed by the funding body.
We will contact you by phone if you’re shortlisted for interview. Once the offer is accepted by the successful applicant, we will provide an outcome to the other applicants.
Please allow up to four weeks from the closing date for an outcome.
Commencement
The positions will commence in April 2025.
