Bondi Beach Attack

‘On behalf of the councillors and staff at Tablelands Regional Council, our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families, impacted by the truly devastating and frightening incidents that took place at Bondi Beach in NSW on Sunday.’ said Mayor Rod Marti.

‘It is truly impossible to imagine such a horrifying and hate-based attack could take place on a popular beach in Australia. Although the incident took place in NSW, its impacts have been felt deeply around the country, and indeed the world.

We also recognise the bravery and dedication of those who took action to stop and then respond to the attack, and those innocent people who shielded those around them or provided first aid or other truly heroic acts.

As well we extend our thanks to the emergency services and police, and the dedicated health and allied health professionals continuing to help the many victims.

“At such a terrible time, it is vital we care about everyone in our community and each other”, Mayor Marti said.
