Be Connected At Atherton Library
Tablelands Regional Council is offering free Be Connected courses and webinars in August.
Deputy Mayor Kevin Cardew recognised the importance of programs like Be Connected to increase the confidence, digital skills and online safety of older Australians.
‘These courses are fantastic for learning the basics, and giving you the confidence to further explore the digital world.
‘This month you can learn about safe online shopping, managing photos, government websites, connecting with others and staying safe on Facebook.
‘We’re also running a four-week course for iPhone and iPads.
‘Some of the courses are face-to-face at Atherton Library, and others are webinars that you can view at home or come to the library to watch,’ he said.
